GreenBank Updates Its Merchant Banking Focus and Seeks To Make Further Small-Cap Investments

Toronto, Ontario, August 1, 2017 – GreenBank Capital Inc (CSE:GBC and OTCMKTS:GRNBF (“GreenBank or the Company”) announces that it has completed an internal review of its merchant banking activities and reaffirms that its continuing focus will be the further development of its investment portfolio and its merchant banking business. During the last six months, and upon the completion of the proposed distribution of its software division, GreenBank has created an investment portfolio of minority equity positions in six private companies. All of these companies have the potential of maturing into publicly listed businesses. GreenBank directors are also directors of its portfolio companies, and GreenBank provides corporate advice with the objective of assisting these businesses to develop to the position where they can list on the Canadian Securities Exchange and other international exchanges.

“We are constantly discussing with small-cap private companies our merchant banking capabilities” said Danny Wettreich, CEO. “Our approach is to take minority equity positions in a diversified range of private companies that can benefit from our expertise, then assist them in becoming publicly listed, and continue to be involved with these businesses on a long-term basis” he said.

GreenBank does not limit itself to any particular sector or to any geographical location, and currently has investments in private equity, minerals exploration, financial services, mobile applications, blockchain, and identification verification.
